Mike Badger releases his second solo album in June 2000. As well as being a musician, Mike is also well known for his recycled tin sculptures as used by ‘Space’ and exhibited around the country. Titled ‘Double Zero’, this exciting band album features guest vocals from Tommy Scott (Space)- featured on tracks ‘Autumn in the mind’ and ‘With you’,bass guitar and backing vocals by Martyn Campbell (The Lightning Seeds) and Drums by the legendary Chris Sharrock( Robbie Williams ).This album was produced by Paul Hemmings.” After always recording acoustic based albums, I wanted to change the sound and only use electric instruments.We kept it as live as possible and it took on a life of it’s own ” says Mike.As with his previous acclaimed album ‘Volume’, Paul Hemmings co-writes a number of the tracks, the only cover to be featured on the album is ‘ A clear night for love ‘ by Roky Erickson ( of the 13 th Floor Elevators ).Mikes final comments about the finished album are ” I knew with the amazing band of musicians playing on it ,it was going to be something special !
